Dan Murphys Launches ShipSmart Delivery Service.
Hot on the heels of Dan Murphy’s My Dan Murphys rewards program launch has come the launch of Dan Murphys ShipSmart. Exclusive to My Dan Murphy’s members ShipSmart is a delivery subscription service. You pay a fixed cost of either $50 for metro or $80 regional subscription for unlimited wine delivery on wine, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages and other liquor accessories. You can purchase your subscription online as part of your regular online liquor order. It will be valid immediately after you checkout. Is the Dan Murphys ShipSmart subscription good value?
To consider whether the ShipSmart delivery service is worth signing up for, consider the current Dan Murphys delivery fees. For standard delivery to metro areas there is a minimum $7 delivery fee for the first case ordered. Additional cases are also from $7 as well. So for a metro delivery subscription fee of $50 you would need to be ordering more than 7 cases (7 cases x $7 = $49) per year. If you are a frequent Dan Murphy’s shopper then opting for a ShipSmart subscription is a great option. Instead of going to your nearest Dan Murphy’s store you can order online and have your wine delivered to your door.
Also note that the current $50 metro and $80 regional Shipsmart subscription fees are listed on the Dan Murphy’s site as introductory only. They are also valid until March 2015. So consider signing up to the Dan Murphys ShipSmart program before then if you are interested in the service. There is the chance that the prices may change after this date.
