9MSN New Homepage – All Still Free!
Today we look at the new 9MSN homepage. Daily Savers Club is all about saving its members time and money. We strongly believe that almost all online content should be free for audiences. Be it news, sport, finance, lifestyle or television Australian audiences should be able to access it without paying. 9MSN, like Yahoo continues as one of the large news sites that offers its content for free. Other sites like News & Sydney Morning Herald now charge for content. This payment is commonly referred to as a “pay wall”. Once you pay, the wall comes down to access news. 9MSN fortunately has no paywall in place and we believe there are no future plans to do so.
The new 9MSN site represents a new direction of the website and the brand in 2015. 9MSN News, Australia’s most popular news site was re-launched earlier this year. Learnings from the News site relaunch appear to have gone into the new 9MSN homepage. The layout is very similar. Content headings are much easier to read and there appears to be a greater focus on images. There is still various advertising placements visible but as this is how the site makes money this is all okay. If there was no advertising in place, 9MSN would have to charge users to access their news articles!

There are all new categories with the launch of the new 9MSN homepage. All categories remain free of charge to access and you do not need to login at all. It does look like 9MSN wanted to bring in as many free categories as possible into the new site. They include all of the following.

- Daily Mail
- Classifieds
