The start of November really marks the start of holiday shopping season. As we start to see Christmas promotions and store window decorations going up, we start thinking to buy presents for our nearest and dearest. However with shopping season comes the crowds.
That’s why the following points are how to save both the hassle of crowds and queues to do all your holiday season shopping online. Aside from great deals you can often receive exclusive online only promotions. And of course you can do it from the comfort of your office desk or couch at home.
1. Set a Christmas Gift Buying Budget
This may seem basic but most people would probably go into holiday shopping mode without one. This is dangerous as you may go and spend way too much money. Therefore having a simple budget will help you avoid this. Write down all the people that you want (or have to!) buy gifts for and assign a total spend budget maximum for them. You will be able to get a total overall budget by adding everyone together and seeing how comfortable you are with that. Having this budget cap in place will make you a smarter holiday season shopper.

When you have a big family it can really be a real financial burden to have to buy for everyone. Go Secret Santa instead. The best thing is that everyone still receives a gift. And it is probably one they will really like as normally a lot of thought will go into buying only one present. You may get some heat from other family members for attempting to introduce Secret Santa so be strong!
3. Coupon Codes – Search Search Search!
Before you checkout at any online store, there will always be a “Promotional Code” or “Coupon Code” box to add something to. Be sure to check other sites for the latest promotions you may not have seen on the retailer’s site. Spending a few minutes searching around, you may be surprised how frequently you will find savings, shipping discounts and other specials.
